Octagon containers are generally the most common in the market place today. The design allows for less expensive production costs and the savings are passed thru to the customer in reduced purchase prices. It is important to match your container with the force rating of the compactor to which it will be attached. Failure to do so can result in damage to both the compactor and the container. Typically, container force ratings range from 60,000 to 160,000 pounds of pressure. When using dual cylinder compaction, that often generate forces in excess of 100,000 pounds, you will want to be sure that your container is strong enough to hold the load without distortion.
